Aamir Khan and controversy are two such words that have been written simultaneously on several occasions. The actor is known to talk about several things, be it political, social or cultural issues. Much of his work also reflects societal affairs, be it PK or Lagaan. One of his famous series, Satyamev Jayate, has also been in the limelight.

Although it is mainly because of the message about female feticide, domestic violence and child abuse that is sent to the public, but has often also been the subject of controversy. There have been smear campaigns against the show and Khan as well.

Aamir Khan made sure to tackle whatever came his way and Satyamev Jayate, and he did when it was reported that he had received threats during the series. In 2014, rumors started circulating that the Dangal actor received several threats after season 2 highlighted issues with the Lok Sabha elections in 2014.

It was also said that Aamir Khan even bought a bulletproof Mercedes Benz S600 worth Rs. 10 crores which was customized to protect him from any bomb or bullet threat. However, the 3 Idiots actor denied the rumors and, according to Indian Express, said, “I haven’t received any threats. I don’t fear…threats. He continued, “Don’t trust rumours. There is no threat to me.

While he may not have received threats about Satyamev Jayate, Aamir has faced backlash for several other things. One of the most famous was when the actor spoke about the rise of religious intolerance in India.

Now Aamir Khan is set to return to the big screen after four years. He will appear in Laal Singh Chaddha, a Bollywood remake of the classic film Forrest Gump starring Tom Hanks. Kareena Kapoor Khan will also play a role in the upcoming film.
