As the maintenance manager, you are responsible for all things maintenance and housekeeping. Therefore, this position plays a vital role in ensuring the community is attractive, well-maintained and safe for our senior residents and staff.

The Maintenance Manager leads 2 FT Housekeepers and 1 FT Maintenance Technician to ensure that the interiors and exteriors of the building are maintained to the highest possible standard. The manager actively participates as a member of the team and is committed to working toward the team’s goals. This position is a work manager position. The Maintenance Manager will make repairs to occupied apartments, as well as repaint and shampoo carpets in shift units, provide leadership, training and development to assigned staff members, is responsible for the implementation of the community safety program, perform safety audits/checklists and emergency response. exercises, to name a few

Qualifications and Requirements:

Ability to maintain resident confidentiality
Must pass DSHS background check
Must pass pre-employment drug test (THC will be disqualified)
Knowledge of DSHS guidelines for assisted living or ability to learn quickly
Knowledge of the Fire Marshal’s guidelines for assisted living or ability to learn quickly
Knowledge of computers, the Internet, Microsoft Outlook.
Ability to read/write in English and have excellent verbal and written communication skills
Able to move intermittently throughout the day. Able to push, pull, bend, lean, reach and lift most of the time. Must be able to lift, push, pull and move equipment, supplies, etc. more than fifty (50) pounds throughout the work day. May be exposed to blood/body fluids.
Ability to stand and walk for long periods and lift fifty (50) pounds.
Must be able to assist in the evacuation of residents.
Must be in good general health and demonstrate emotional stability
Must be fully vaccinated for Covid 19
