We are currently looking for seasonal environmental technicians. This position reports to Global’s Director of Environmental Operations.

Duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Assist in towing, deployment and stowage of oil containment boom
• Manipulate mooring lines and rigging to launch or moor the boat
• Perform surveillance duties while underway – including monitoring other vessels,
monitor traffic conditions and potential hazardous conditions on board, and otherwise
• Splice and repair cables and ropes using hand tools
• Operation of small vessels
• Boom and wing maintenance
• Driving/positioning company vehicles
• Perform other assigned duties

• All employees must be legally authorized to work in the United States
• Must have a valid driver’s license, valid auto insurance and submit a driving record
the last three years
• Must be able to pass drug test and background check prior to employment
• Must have or be able to obtain a TWIC (Transportation Worker Identification
ID card)
• Must have or be able to obtain First Aid/CPR certification
• Must have or be able to obtain a Washington State Boater Education Card
• Ability to lift from the ground at the waist, push and pull up to 50 lbs occasionally up to 12
times per shift
• Ability to work any day of the week, day or night
• Must be able to withstand the following for up to 12 hours a day in all weather
conditions (sun, rain, sleet and snow): standing, sitting, walking, pushing, pulling, squatting, crouching,
bending, stooping, crawling, kneeling, climbing stairs and ladders,
repetitive use of tape
• 24/7 availability throughout the working season
• Ability to work any day of the week, day or night

Typical schedule for seasonal employees:

• Must be available to work 40-50 hours per work week
• Rest period after each shift
• Must be available on a variable basis
• The employee must be available for a large percentage of the work available and attentive to
communications for job scheduling changes


A high school diploma or equivalent preferred


• Must be 18 years or older
