Our staff members provide residents and visitors with in-depth knowledge of sea kayaking, stand-up paddleboarding, skiing and snowboarding. In consultation with the AGM, plan branded clinics for winter and summer, including choosing dates and times and ensuring relevant staff are able to attend
Maintain calendar firstname.lastname@example.org with relevant winter and summer clinics, events, shows and pre-season order dates
Assist with warranties including tracking items, taking photos and corresponding with brands and customers in a timely manner
Participate in the chargeback process, including responding in a timely manner and training staff on updated practices and procedures
Help respond to customer complaints, including emails, phone calls, and negative reviews
Maintain a physical filing system for information on pre-season orders, special orders, online orders and vehicle maintenance
Open, process, file, sort mail
Manage end of month/season documents
Review all invoices and enter them into Quickbooks accounting software
Work with owner to resolve payment issues
Work with the CFO to resolve monthly reconciliation issues, including troubleshooting billing/payment issues
Update website banners and slideshow based on seasonal campaigns
Create and maintain product pages, including writing descriptions and specs, updating photos, removing or adding color variants
Write content for email newsletters for upcoming events, sales, new stock arrivals, etc.
Post to Instagram, Facebook, and Google My Business on a regular schedule to promote new products, events, sales, and more.
Participate in annual events, including updating event information on the website, creating Facebook events, setting up a consignment website, and distributing event information to blogs premises, newspapers, etc.
Photography help for social media
Under the supervision of the AGM and Director of Operations, create draft purchase orders, receive inventory into the POS system and digitally file invoices
Assist with semi-annual store inventory including staff scheduling, scheduling/ordering/returning inventory equipment
Work with Operations Manager and AGM to determine need and oversee batch inventories as required
1-3 years of retail and/or sales experience
Must be extremely organized and detail oriented, detail work is a major focus of the job
Passion or interest in paddle sports/Northwest winter sports
Experience with a plus
Ability to work with customers and other staff without discrimination
Excellent technical skills. Able to learn web platforms quickly and solve problems independently.
This is a part-time position, 20 to 30 hours per week, but can go up to full-time. We are a small team here and step into many other roles as needed. You might be expected to help with shipping, answering customer emails, and other tasks as they arise.
