New Student and Family Programs is excited to continue a new leadership initiative for all U of A students, staff, and faculty: “Leadership How To.” During these workshops, participants will explore specific leadership topics through immersive activities and discussions. Topics for the “Leadership How ToThe series will vary from semester to semester, with topics this spring including emotional intelligence, mentoring, leadership ethics, and authentic leadership.

The first session of the semester will take place from 12:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m., on Friday February 4, on the theme of emotional intelligence. Having higher emotional intelligence helps you build relationships, reduce team stress, defuse conflict, and improve job satisfaction.

To register for the training session, you can register on HogSync. For more information and details on upcoming training sessions, visit the new student and family programs leadership website! Registration to the “How To” workshops is limited and places will be allocated on a first-come, first-served basis.
